Neil Plimmer has various racing championships under his belt, from the 'Star
of Mallory' FF1600 Championship and the Metro Turbo Challenge, to six years
competing in the 'Star of the Midlands' FF1600 Championship, where he
consistently finished second from 1999 to 2001. In 2002, he began competing
in the Fun Cup Enduro, in what was the first year of the series.
In 1998, Geoff Fawcett raced Neil's spare FF1600 in the 'Star of the
Midlands' Championship. After buying his own RF90 and running as team mate
to Neil, he finished fourth in 1999, 2000 and 2001. He, too, joined
the Fun Cup in 2002, where the pair had one fourth and two second places.
With their previously numbered car 98, in 2003, they achieved one third and
three second places. They rounded off their 2004 season, with four second
places and one third.
2005 was not a good year for Team Honeywell and podium positions eluded them with monotonous regularity. But 2006
proved to be the turning point for Team Honeywell, after the car was handed
over to JPR Motorsport for preparation and set-up. Both Geoff and Neil now
had a car that was both on the pace and reliable, which, coupled with a
good team strategy, ultimately rewarded them with the number 1 on their car
for 2007.
It was a similar story for the 2007 season and the pair were the most consistent team, having had a fantastic year again. Once more, they will be the number 1 car for the 2008 season.

Ian Bankhurst (the most laid-back driver in Fun Cup) started autotesting with MGCC and Durham auto club in 1993 and moved into the MG Metro Championship in 1995, winning the novice class in his first year. He drifted along for four years with the metro, until switching to sprints and hillclimbs, with a Toyota powered midget. He jumped back into racing again at the end of 2004, with the purchase of a Radical (followed by three more during the following two seasons) and joining the new RNIB (Car 158) team in the Fun Cup for Spa 2005.
He was a committed Fun Cup participant for 2007, with entries in place for the entire season, using the 14 car, acquired from Adrian Mardlin at the end of 2006.
Tony Gaston was new to racing in 2006. He had a baptism of fire in his first race at Silverstone, in a Radical Prosport 1500, joining friend Ian in numerous radical outings. He raced in the Britsports series, yielding two firsts and two seconds in early outings. His novice cross was removed immediately prior to taking night stints in the 24hour Britcar race! 2008 is his second year competing in the Fun Cup.
Nick Padmore is an extremely experienced racer. From 1990 to 1993 he competed in karts. In 1994 to 1997, he then took part in Formula First and was nominated for the BRDC Mclaren/Autosport "Young Driver of the Year" award. In 1998 he raced in the V6 Eurocar and Formula Palmer Audi Winter Series. In 1999, he moved to race in the British GT and the Kent County Formula Ford Zetec Championship, where he had six wins and finished third overall. In 2000, he took part in the Ford Credit Fiesta Championship and in 2001, he competed in the Radical Enduro championship, as well as finishing second in the Ford Credit Fiesta Championship. He then competed in many more Radical Enduro races throughout 2002 to 2004 and also raced in Britsports. In 2004, he also took part in his first Fun Cup race at the world famous Spa 25 hours, the Britcar 24 hour race at Silverstone and the Britcar night race at Brands Hatch. In 2006, he competed in the Radical Enduro Championship with Austin Reynolds, where the pair had many top ten finishes. He also competed in the Britcar 24 hour race again, plus a few shorter Britcar races. Steve, like many, began his racing career with karting. Later in life, he competed in the Radical Championship for two years, until he moved to race in the Fun Cup in 2002.
Paul began racing at the age of twelve, when he started karting. As soon as he was old enough he changed to car racing, which then became his passion. He won many championships. Then in 1999, he switched series to compete in Radicals, winning the championship in its first complete year. Along with Steve, he moved to the Fun Cup in 2002.
Franck has raced in Karts, Formula Ford, Formula Ford Zetec, Ferrari Challenge and British GT. He has also had numerous podiums in Belcar and many wins in Britcar. Franck has competed in Fun Cup races since 2000.
Every time the team have finished at the Spa 25 hour race, they have reached the top podium position out of all the UK teams.

Maverick Motorsport is a new team that has been created to compete in the 2008 Fun Cup series and in their first race at Mondello Park, they finished sixth overall and won the Team of the Day trophy. This was a great effort considering the fact that they only met each other as a team on the day before the race.
Dominic Jackson had an initial taste of competitive motorsport in 1997, when he competed in the Silverstone Saloon Car racing series, enjoying a couple of wins and several podiums. He started racing seriously again in 2007, competing in the Britcar endurance series and also some saloon car sprint racing, enjoying a couple of class podium successes. He also competed in the Britcar 24 Hour race at Silverstone, completing a total of eight hours driving.
Simon Acton was first introduced to motorsport at the age of twelve, racing karts in the National Schools Karting Championship. Simon was crowned Southern Champion in 1987 and National Sprint Vice Champion in both 1987 and 1988 in the highly competitive 50cc gearbox class. During the late 1990s and early 2000s, Simon raced in fixed gear 100cc karts, recording a number of class wins and podiums. More recently Simon has competed successfully in various endurance pro karting events. Simon was introduced to the Fun Cup series through the 2007 Fun Cup scholarship competition, in which he finished a close second.
Chris Weatherill was first involved in motorsport running a variety of Formula Fords and Vauxhall Junior single seaters, through the late 80's and early 90's. Chris made the switch to racing in 1994, entering in the Slick 50 Road Saloons where he ran competitively for four years, running part time in the series through to 2000. Despite appearing on Top Gear for his racing skills, four children took up too much time (and money!) to keep competing, so a short hiatus was called. Regular contact with Paul Rose has led to one of the longer periods of Fun Cup recruitment, as he tested a cup car at the launch of the series at Rockingham in 2001. He has been keen to race one ever since.

The 222 car was new for 2007, along with the team - headed by series regular, Hampshire's Ted Reddick - helped and supported by a number of neighbours and friends from TVR and Alfa Romeo related circles.
A former racing cyclist (when a few stone lighter!), Ted spent four years racing Ferrari 355 Challenge cars - winning the 2004 Pirelli Maranello Ferrari Challenge (following on from runner up in 2003), as well as the Ferrari Owners' Club Victor Ludorum points competition and the Driver of the Year trophy in the same season. Also a former multi sprint racing champion in a TVR (and winner of the TVRCC Scott Moncrieff trophy), Ted has raced GT cars in Bahrain and Shanghai, as well as TVR Tuscans, Alfa Romeos and the full UK Fun Cup series from 2005 to present. He has competed in the Spa 25 hour race since 2003, as well as the 2006 and 2007 Fun Cup world finals at Jarama, in Spain and Val de Vienne, in France. Ted is also a track driving instructor and used this experience to nurture two novice drivers into the 2005 and 2006 Fun Cup series.
Ted's first outing in a Fun Cup car was on his 40th birthday back in 2003 and unfortunately, he was hooked! He claims one of the most spectacular crashes in the Fun Cup - walking away without a scratch, following a mid air inversion at Jarama in 2005, after a French girl chose to enter the pits without checking her inside mirror! The accident proves the strength of the Fun Cup cars (and the cost of repair was substantially less than a small knock on a 355!).
Team-mate for 2008 is another ex-Alfa Romeo racer, Bryn Griffiths, whose colleagues at his West Sussex workshops - Alfa specialist Monza Sports Tuning together with Paul Austin of Crawley's TVR specialist Austec Racing, are also giving technical support to the team. Bryn drove with Ted for some of the 2007 events and is now committed to the full season. Bryn has finally let go of his Alfa Sportwagon diesel race car ...
For 2008, the team is supported by Landspeed and Monza Sports Tuning.
